Multicultural Women in Leadership

✨ What an evening! ✨
The Multicultural Association of Property Professionals (MAPP inc.) brought together a powerful room of leaders, allies, and changemakers at our “Multicultural Women in Leadership” event — and what an unforgettable conversation it was!
Alongside our facilitator and Head of Programs Zamaneh Khoshdel, our phenomenal panelists — Angela Skandarajah, Elena Bullo & Vivienne Nguyen shared candid reflections on their leadership journeys, navigating identity, cultural heritage, and breaking barriers in the built environment industry.
Key takeaways included:
💬 Leadership begins with self-awareness and authenticity
💬 Representation matters — you can’t be what you can’t see
💬 Mentorship and sponsorship are critical for opening doors
💬 Resilience is a superpower, but collective change requires systemic shifts
We’re deeply grateful to our speakers for their wisdom and honesty — and to every guest who brought their curiosity, questions, and energy to the room.
🙏 Thank you to our incredible sponsors who make this work possible:
Development Victoria, Square 1 Engineering, Building Engineering, Resonate Consultants — and our event partner Beca for hosting us at their stunning space in Docklands. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our volunteers – your hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed. A huge thank you to our founding members Pragya Gupta, Zamaneh Khoshdel, Jacquelyn Mangubat, Elly Buchanan, Aaron Chen & Carolyn P. Tran.
Together, we’re moving the dial on equity, visibility, and opportunity in the built environment — and this is just the beginning. 💪
